YESS provides immediate, low-barrier support for youth ages 15–21 through our 24/7 Youth Support Centre, including access to safe shelter and essential services during times of crisis. Youth ages 15–24 can also access daytime programs, resources, and supports that help address their physical, mental, emotional, and cultural well-being.
We believe support does not end with meeting immediate needs. By building trusting relationships and connecting youth with the right resources, we help young people develop skills, strengthen their well-being, and create pathways toward independence.
Collaboratively build a network of care to ensure youth get the expert help they need, when they need it, and where they need it.
A more connected, holistic, and lower-barrier system for youth in crisis.

YESS has been part of the Edmonton community for more than four decades. Founded through community efforts in 1981, the organization has continued to evolve from providing emergency shelter support into a broader network of care focused on prevention, healing, and long-term stability.
While our programs and services have grown over the years, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to standing alongside youth and helping them navigate their journey toward healing, connection, and independence.
