Clothing and personal items

YESS is happy to accept in-kind donations such as clothes and personal items and have partnered with Value Village to support our youth. YESS will collect donations here at the youth support centre and Value Village will collect them every 6 weeks. As part of their incredible support, Value Village will provide gift cards for youth to use, valued at .10-.20 per pound.

In addition, when youth use their gift cards for the items they need, Value Village will honour a 5% discount for their purchase.

Partnerships like this provide youth the dignity of choice when shopping for much needed items. All of this is made possible by the generous support of donors and the community.

Items may be delivered at YESS (9310-82 Avenue) Tuesdays through Fridays any time between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Please go to the back entrance near the garage and ring the kitchen doorbell and someone from our Facilities Team will greet you.

We are currently accepting the following:

Clothes: Men's, Women's and Children's clothing, coats, shoes, scarves, handbags, wallets, fashion accessories, belts, backpacks, etc
Household textiles: bedding, comforters, blankets, sheets, towels, linen tablecloths, curtains, pillows, etc
Small household goods: kitchen items (such as pots/pans, dishes, silverware, glasses, serving pieces and hand-held appliances), home decorative items, knick-knacks, toys, games, and small electronics
Books and Media: paperback, hard cover and all genres

Food Donations

If you or your organization are interested in donating food, please contact our Kitchen to confirm the need for these items, as well as arrange a time and process for dropping off.

We can accept

Donations scheduled with the kitchen team ahead of time (perishables, catering extras);

Unopened non-perishables.

We cannot accept

Unscheduled perishable foods; food in black garbage bags, unwrapped, or tampered with;

Food left at room temperature more than 2 hours.
